GUCCI REVOLUTION

Gucci Creative director since January 2015, Alessandro Michele is creating the new image for this famous brand, operating a deep transformation in the world of fashion, one that has not recent recollections. Recently presented at Milan’s men Fashion week, the new Winter men collection 2016/17 is not easy to define- perhaps “genderless” would be appropriate. Gucci’s runway has been characterized by the word “freedom”, in a complete liberal mood with no barriers for Michele’s creativity. Coats and suits were on stage with furred detective capes. Oriental inspiration for some floral tapestry jackets and kimono style quilted coats, while stamped bombers contrasted trench coats.

Total ‘70 style also reinterpreted with eclectic pants and floral jackets. Snoopy and Woodstock motifs on T-shirts among with dandy suits in tartan. The color palette followed the mood with rainbow colors such as red lacquer, mustard yellow, fuchsia and forest green with timeless whites, beiges and blacks. The selection of genres, colors and designs has been more than satisfactory to a public who wants to wear genderless-style clothing and feel the anarchy behind Michele’s design message, an idea presented also from deep search into the Maison’s archives.

Bon ton and anarchy together for this collection.
