Pedrali brand reaches the sky
Three stops to reach the sky: the new Mont Blanc cableway is a truly great engineering work which, in just 19 minutes, takes you up to 3466 meters (above the sea level), just a step away from heaven. The interiors design, realized by architect Carlo Cillara Rossi, is implemented with furnishing pieces from Italian Pedrali company. The project has been coordinated by Dimensione Ingegnerie and the Consortium Cordée Mont Blanc.
The Plant’s three stations are futuristic looking and inclusive of different architectonic styles, with interiors design by architects Roberto Rosset e Danilo Montovert. For the most part, the Pontal d’Entréves station -1,300 meters altitude- sports wood interiors, followed by the intermediate station Pavillon du Mont-Fréty with a mix of wood and metal, while at the Pointe Helbronner station -3500 meters above sea level- surrounded by rocks and ice, the choice has been a combination of glass and white Corian.
All the three stations interior furnishings brings Pedrali brand’s signature to the top, with Scandinavian-looking Malmö collection chairs for the Restaurant Bar Bellevue, located in the intermediate station of Pavillon du Mont-Fréty and the Bistrot des Glaciers featuring Pedrali’s graceful Volt seating. Stackable and lightweight, the Volt collection feature an embossed finish and anthracite grey hue that gave them a “mineral aspect”, to complement the white Corian/glass elements solution and the dramatic snow-capped mountains.
