ASTON BY RODOLFO DORDONI
Armchairs, dormeuse, poufs, sofas and chairs but only one name: Aston. The Milan-born firm founded by Alberto Minotti in the fifties is still faithful to its philosophy of elegance and distinction.
Behind the new Aston range designed byRodolfo Dordoni lays a long conceptual research: if domestic spaces’ fruition has radically changed since the after-war period, that old-fashioned sobriety, the attention for details and the overall lightness have been reintroduced as a red thread that embodies a vision of Italian design which must be celebrated to this day.
The collection’s sexiest piece? Definitely the armchair, a blend of contemporary and timeless. New York Times in one hand and Rachmaminov in the music player: an eternal image.
