Stella Jean an Italo Haitian breeze

Stella Jean Beachwear 2015 collection is enriched with a special encouter: her return to Haiti, a genuine mix of emotions. The Beachwear SS 15 collection is inspired by the artistic tradition of Naïve Art, with bright colors, on cotton and Lycra, redesigning the silhouette of swimsuits, and conferring a retro-chic allure to the woman wearing them. One-piece swimsuits, bikinis and apparel in a dialogue of sophisticated social contaminations, exploring periods and latitudes in search for a new balance.

The artistic tradition of Naïve Art is present also in the line of accessories, realized in Haiti. Some collection pieces have been created in line with continuity of the collaboration between the designer and the Ethical Fashion Initiative by the International Trade Center (ITC), a joint agency of ONU, which helped the introduction of canvas fabrics, loom hand-made by women from Burkina Faso villages, together with jewels created by Haitian artisans.
