Giorgio Armani’s excellent hospitality

Besides Expo, the Duomo, La Scala and the Cenacolo by Leonardo, today Milan offers another exclusive unique destination: the historical palazzo Griffini, at 31 via Manzoni. This masterpiece of rationalist architecture was built in 1937 in the heart of the city, today it has been brought to a new splendor thanks to Giorgio Armani, who chose it as location of his second jewels of the Armani Hotels & Resorts project, the Armani Hotel Milano. Expo 2015 could be the right occasion to experience this new prestigious location in Milan.

“I have concentrated all my efforts on delivering my personal aesthetic vision within a precisely defined ambience of total comfort,” explains the designer. Each element has been personally designed by Giorgio Armani and chosen for sculptural, aesthetic and sensual qualities.  Staying at Armani Hotel Milano is an unforgettable and unique experience thanks to the high quality level of services. Here luxury, calm and beauty are fostered in pure Armani style, imparting a new aesthetic excellence to the concept of comfort.

Some key elements of this approach are the decision to create a small vestibule in every room that creates an intervening space ( before the intimacy of the bedroom is revealed), or a shower enclosure in discreet one-way glass that allows a view out from inside the shower cubicle, but no view in the other way (in each bathroom, structured for use by two people). And if this is not enough for you, a dedicated Lifestyle Manager is the point of contact for guests, whose every need and wish will be fulfilled with discreet assistance at all times. The 95 rooms and suites offer a variety of options: from Armani Deluxe rooms (up to 45 square meters) to Armani Signature and Armani Presidential suites (from 170 to 200 square meters). Everywhere exclusive furniture, bathrooms in marble tiles, high-tech amenities, and luxurious Armani designed equipments create an atmosphere of warmth and restraint.

The largest suites (Signature, Ambassador or the Presidential Suite) on two levels connected by a magnificent stairway, offer floor-to-ceiling glass windows overlooking the skyline of the city, full service cocktail bar, dining room and kitchen, and furthermore a private movie theater with  100” LCD screen and a private gym with the latest-generation training equipments and vapor shower. All the public areas are concentrated on the seventh and eighth floors in the so-called glass “hat”, which affords a spectacular and unexpected panorama encompassing the city, from the historic Duomo to the latest skyscrapers. The Armani/Ristorante is located on the seventh floor, where it offers superb traditional Italian gastronomy, an exclusive cellared beverage list, and a private dining room. On the opposite side, the Armani/Lounge with the Armani/Bamboo Bar looks out over the skyline, a relaxed ambience in which to enjoy an informal meal or an aperitivo before dinner.

The eighth floor is entirely devoted to beauty, fitness relaxation, thanks to the Armani SPA, an oasis for physical and mental harmony and wellbeing. Also available around the clock is the Armani/Business Centre, which extends over 200 square meters with high-tech equipments planned to satisfy the needs of work 24 hours a day. Armani Hotel Milano offers a home atmosphere away from home, everything has been planned to satisfy the needs of work, relaxation and pleasure, in line with the “Stay with Armani” philosophy, conforming to that ideal combination of elegance and simplicity that defines the Armani style. Interestingly, this Armani hotel, created within a palazzo, is shaped by the architectural ground plan as an immense “A”. Maybe it was destined to be!
