Poliform e Varenna double up in Avignon
Poliform doubles up in France. The second RBC showroom in Avignon was inaugurated a few days ago. Poliform|Varenna Studio Avignon: over 100 square metres entirely devoted to Poliform and Varenna collections, designed by Christophe Pillet. An extensive range of furnishings for the living room and bedroom defines the idea of the “Poliform home”: from the Wall System bookcase, the Senzafine walk-in wardrobe and the Jacqueline bed, through to the genuine stars of the show in Avignon, i.e. Varenna kitchens, presented in the Alea, Artex and Phoenix models. On the occasion of the opening Emmanuel Gallina the French designer, who has worked with Poliform for years now, was invited to cut the ribbon and gave a speech about his partnership with Poliform to an audience of journalists, industry specialists and regular customers who were given the chance to find out more about Poliform up-close. The showroom shop windows in Avignon were turned into spaces dedicated entirely to works by the French designer: from the Opera table, the last product designed for Poliform by Gallina, to historic pieces such as the Concorde table, the Grace chairs and the Tridente coffee table collection., the architect.
Poliform|Varenna Studio Avignon is just the latest example of the solid partnership between Poliform|Varenna and RBC Mobilier, one of the major distributors of design products in France, with showrooms in Lyons, Montpellier, Avignon, Gallargues and Nimes. The story of Poliform is that of a company which, despite having achieved an international dimension, has maintained its family character. Established in 1970 as the evolution of a small artisan’s shop dating back to 1942, Poliform invested in new production technologies and the products have successfully evolved into functional and modular systems (bookcases, cabinets, closets and beds) for all areas of the house.
In 1996 Poliform galaxy acquired another Italian star, Varenna, the queen of kitchen makers. Thanks to the partnership with famous designer like Rodolfo Dordoni, Jean-Marie Massaud, Marcel Wanders, Carlo Colombo -just to mention a few- the brand born in Brianza (a very productive area of Lombardy) has gone worldwide bringing the best of Made in Italy in the most luxury mansions all around the world.
