Gentucca Bini exhibits for Alcantara
After the Local Icons. Greetings from Rome, the exhibition that has been created in collaboration by the MAXXI Museum in Rome and Alcantara (MAXXI, from March 27 to June 7, 2015), Gentucca Bini renews her creative partnership with Alcantara through a site specific installation for the exhibition Alcantara: Technology of Dreams which has been inaugurated on April 22nd at Royal Palace in Milan. The exhibition, curated by Giulio Cappellini and Domitilla Darts, wants to express the spirit of communion between technology, art, industry and innovation through the use of Alcantara material and visionary unbound creativity.
The exhibition explores the creativity of different designers: Nendo, Gentucca Bini, Ingo Maurer, Paola Navone, Ico Migliore, Mara Servetto, and Cappellini himself.In the rooms of the Price’s Apartment, the artists were invited to reinterpret in their site specific installations the concepts of beauty, flexibility, tactility, envelopment and transformability, characteristics of the Alcantara style. A dream-like vision in perfect harmony with technology and innovation.
