PL are the initials of the Singapore customer who bespoke, just like a tailored suit, a one-of-a-kind Bugatti: the Grand Sport Vitesse “1 of 1”, suggestively named “1 of 1” for being the only model produced. The fastest roadster in the world, delivered last summer, takes inspiration from the brand’s historical designs and vehicles. The result is a unique supercar where the method of customizing is totally impressive, the traditional black-and-yellow color scheme of Bugatti, creates the initials of the owner on the roof. A fine work of high technology and excellence, just thinking that more than 200 working hours were needed to attain a special hand-polished grille, laser cut with the owner’s initials. The Grand Sport Vitessecomplete interior is trimmed in black leather with yellow stitching, the instrument panel is made of deep-black exposed carbon, and the door panel is made from due-tone leather, black on the outside and yellow on the inside. The rims are painted black and yellow. The yellow decorative stitching on the steering wheel seems to glow. A real racing car engine: 1.183 horsepower sprints 0-100 km in 2,6 sec. The special car is the result of many months of close cooperation between Bugatti’s design team and the customer. Focusing on the customers and their wishes is one of the brand’s great strengths, in the spirit of Ettore Bugatti motto “Nothing is too expensive, nothing is too beautiful”. The price of this supercar has not been reported, but the average net price of Bugatti vehicles sold is presently more than €2 million. However the luxury of possessing such a car is priceless.
