Pedrali, the new collections at Design Week 2015
Pedrali 2015 collection is on the forefront of experimentation. New production technologies and diversified materials, this is how the functional contemporary design furnishings are created. Seven brand new families and new models – presented at Milan Design Week 2105 – that enrich the existing ones highlight the Company perfectly balanced use of wood and upholstery, alongside metal and plastic materials. The collection of seatings for outdoor entirely made of steel evokes the origins of the Italian brand. a historical journey which Mario Pedrali started in 1963 with the first metal garden chairs; the die-casted aluminum armchair is elegant and sophisticated, while the choice of concrete for the outdoor table base is natural and bright. The brand continues the collaboration with the designers Jorge Pensi, Patrick Jouin, Marc Sadler, Michele Cazzaniga, Simone Mandelli and Antonio Pagliarulo, Claudio Dondoli and Marco Pocci, Pio and Tito Toso, Manuela Busetti, Andrea Garuti and Matteo Redaelli.
Among the new models, the Nolita collection by Simone Mandelli and Antonio Pagliarulo. Nolita is a family of outdoor seatings which recalls the origins of the Italian brand. The collection seems to arise from the memories of a sunny and lively square, a timeless place, giving birth to simple and iconic shapes, with a futuristic twist. The collection includes chair and armchair with two different back heights. Concrete collection by Pio and Tito Toso, is a table created to be durable. This outdoor table with a concrete base takes advantage, in a natural and smart way, of this material characteristics. Nemea is a collection of classically-shaped seatings, Social is a modular system of linear, corner seatings, Osaka is a collection of seatings with linear and simple features. Intrigo with its minimal silhouette, and Plural with its modern style complete the new Pedrali collections presented at this year Design Week.
