Tartufi & Friends new opening at Palazzo Serbelloni
After a year and half from the opening of the restaurant in Rome, Alberto and Angelo Sermoneta opened the second truffle lounge, Tartufi&Friends, in a prime location: Palazzo Serbelloni, at 18 corso Venezia, Milan. Over 2700 sq feetentirely dedicated to the precious tuber and a range of Italy’s finest culinary delicacy and fine food tasting experiences. Tartufi&Friends’vintage and sophisticated interiors have been designed by Laura Franco, the same architect of Rome’s location. The venue is divided in four rooms, the black with 42 seats for a quick ‘take away’ meal or a delicious brunch finely prepared by the talented chef Marco Fossati. For the outdoor dining lovers, there is a room with a vertical garden, restaurant à la carte and bar service by the bartender Paola Coppini. The exclusive room Explorer, with 18 seats and table service, is decorated with 16th century drawings that illustrate the story of truffles and truffle hunting. The last is the white room, with its shop to take away selected products and an entire range of Tartufi&Friends goodies: from the honey truffled sauce to fresh truffles, with 100 more specialties. Sermoneta group, leader in the luxury food, gained victory by betting on one of the world’s finest product: truffle. The group is planning to expand by opening two new venues for 2015, in London and Dubai, with the aim of introducing overseas people to the delight of the truffle, symbol of the Italian cuisine of excellence.
