It is\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">also the new adventure of <strong>Maurizio Gigola<\/strong>, who in close collaboration\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">with his wife <strong>Rennea Couttenye<\/strong> will produce a new documentary on the\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">people, the territory, above all the <strong>Venezuelan music<\/strong>. Written and\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">directed four hands by both, it will be accompanied by a &#8220;<strong>travel\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\"><strong>diary<\/strong>&#8221; composed by a box containing a book and a DVD that will collect\u00a0<\/span>many extra contributions of this new adventure with a great\u00a0soundtrack.\u00a0A non-profit project will develop around the film, supporting young\u00a0Venezuelan musicians, talented young people in a country more and more<br \/>\nin trouble.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Exclusively for MFM a preview of the story and the trailer of the film<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2>The power of music<\/h2>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\">In August 1969 <strong>Swami Satchidananda<\/strong>, an Indian teacher and spiritual\u00a0teacher, gave the opening speech after a performance by <strong>Richie Havens<\/strong>\u00a0who started the <strong>Woodstock music festival<\/strong>. He turned to almost half a\u00a0million people with a very touching and powerful message:\u00a0&#8220;<em>My beloved brothers and sisters, we can only feel vibrations. Music\u00a0is a heavenly sound and it is the sound that controls the entire<\/em>\u00a0<em>universe, not the atomic vibrations. The energy of sound, the power of\u00a0music, is much, much bigger than any other power in this world. And\u00a0one thing I would like so much that you all remember: is that with\u00a0sound that we can &#8220;do&#8221;, and at the same time, &#8220;destroy&#8221;<\/em> (and screamed\u00a0into the microphone).\u00a0A great moment in the history of the power of music.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Caracas\u00a0Calling<\/h2>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\">The same power of music took me to Caracas last winter to start a very\u00a0inspiring documentary on music. We spent two months producing in\u00a0<strong>Venezuela<\/strong>, with scenes shooted outdoors and in studio. This 10 clips\u00a0of about 2 minutes each were born to show the treatment and narrative\u00a0style accompanied by a complete <strong>18 minute editing<\/strong> including some\u00a0backstage interviews.\u00a0Rennea Couttenye and I started shooting Cambur Pinton last winter and\u00a0we want to finish it early next year. It was not easy: when we were\u00a0there we had several days of &#8220;apagon&#8221; (black out) and the whole\u00a0country fell completely into darkness, physically and emotionally. I\u00a0think the news has also been talked about in Italy.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Our Crew<\/h2>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\">We worked with an entirely Venezuelan fantastic troupe, all very\u00a0helpful and highly professional, super-motivated towards our goal, our\u00a0&#8220;mission&#8221;. <strong>Cambur Pint\u00f3n<\/strong> <strong>is a journey<\/strong>, a film about the transcendental\u00a0passages of the music of Venezuela where the viewer is witness to the\u00a0way in which the spirit of people, the land they live in and the\u00a0instruments by themselves built and played. Through the music we\u00a0capture the <strong>Venezuelan cultural identity<\/strong>, the power, the strength of\u00a0the people and their capacity for resistance, in a country in very\u00a0serious difficulties.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Without words<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Cambur Pint\u00f3n is a &#8220;non-narrative&#8221; documentary<\/strong>. The viewer is present\u00a0and immersed in a visual and auditory journey with little or no\u00a0speech. The dialogues between the characters are brief; there are\u00a0songs that tell stories of real people with instruments they built and\u00a0played in the context of their homes, in their towns or in rural\u00a0gatherings.
