The ideal climate to make great wines. Bolgheri<\/strong> is a territory with a unique vocation, an enclave renovating its value at each harvest. Bolgheri Doc<\/strong> produces an elegant and complex red wine with the typical notes of the Bolgheri terroir,<\/em> that runs parallel to the beaches of the Tuscan coast, located in the province of Livorno, in the town of Castagneto Carducci<\/em>. A chain of hills, between Bolgheri and Castagneto Carducci, protects the vineyards and olive groves from the winter winds. <\/span>In the summer, on the other hand, this corridor is swept by cool winds that are generated between the valleys of the Cecina and the Cornia rivers.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Consortium for the Protection of the Wines, Bolgheri Doc, includes 40 producers members for 1,220 hectares. A paradise of grapes, mostly black grapes like Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Syrah, Petit Verdot and Sangiovese. Vermentino and Sauvignon<\/em> represent the white grapes. Great vineyards create excellent wines, produced by wineries like Ornallaia, Guado al Tasso, Tenuta San Guido, Banfi, Fabio Motta, I Greppi, Castello di Bolgheri and Le Macchiole<\/em>, just to name a few. <\/span>Bolgheri <\/span><\/strong>is a unique reality in wine production. The first wine of Bolghieri was Sassicaia<\/em>, which started the production in the territory. Sassicaia opened the way to all Bolghieri wines, a unique wine representing Bolgheri identity, also unique for the excellence of its different productive interpretations and expressions.<\/span><\/p>\n

Bolgheri only produces great wines, and all of high quality level, like the historical  Sassicaia, Ornellaia, Masseto, Cavaliere, Paleo, Grattamacco, Guado al Tasso<\/em> together with youngest wines, all different but with a common identity: the seal of this territory. <\/span>Bolgheri<\/span><\/strong> is the ideal place for vineyard:<\/span>in addition to direct sunlight, the land benefits from the effects of the reflection of light from the stretch of sea, while hills retain the sea breeze, offering the right amount of humidity. This is the secret of a place highly suited to the production of wines, which offers selections among the most appreciated of Italy.<\/span><\/p>\n
