More than thousand pieces by Piero Fornasetti<\/strong> on show at <\/span> <\/span><\/span>the <\/span>Mus\u00e9e des arts D\u00e9coratifs<\/span><\/em><\/strong>,<\/span><\/strong> <\/span>in Paris. From March 11 to June 15 2015 <\/span>the main Nave of the Parisian museum features the exhibition <\/span>\u201cPiero Fornasetti: the practical madness<\/em>\u201d, the first retrospective ever devoted to Fornasetti <\/strong>in France. <\/span>In the theatrical decorative universe of Fornasetti,<\/strong> the subjects imbued with poetry and imagination play with optical illusions, metaphysical landscapes, figures drawn from the comedy of craft and enigmatic and lunar faces depicted in multiple variations. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n This retrospective exhibition is a portrait of this creator who was a painter as well as a decorator, a printer and a publisher, a collector and a merchant. <\/span>Piero Fornasetti<\/span><\/strong> was all that and even more. Eclectic personality, Piero Fornasetti<\/strong> defines himself as a self-educated person. When he was young, the printing press that was available in his father\u2019s workshop allowed him to practice and experiment with all etching and printing techniques. He creates the Stamperia d\u2019Arte Piero Fornasetti<\/em> and published his drawings, his almanacs, but also the works of the greatest artists of his time: Carlo Carr\u00e0, Giorgio de Chirico, Marino Marini, Lucio Fontana. It was in 1933, then, when he took part in Milan\u2019s Triennale with his scarves, that Gio Ponti discovered his talent. Their cooperation actually began in 1940, and continued for several years, during which they worked on the craziest projects<\/span><\/p>\n
