Over 25 million visitors, almost 30,000 exhibitors and 86 competitions held<\/strong>. These are the figures of EICMA\u2019s<\/strong> centenary celebrations at the 280,000 sq. m site of the Milan-Rho Fair. The world motorbike expo taking place from 4 to 9 November has reached its 72nd edition \u2013 and is globally the sector\u2019s most important event. Its byname is excellence and this year it will host 1,053 brands, representing 34 countries with 23 percent of the exhibitors at their debut.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/span>Following last year\u2019s success, the top level contest is back with \u201cMotoLive,\u201d<\/strong> and will occupy an area of 80,000 sq. m; the electrical world will find its corner in \u201cThe Green Planet<\/strong>,\u201d the area reserved for sustainable mobility; the custom enthusiasts will find inspiration at the Eicma Custom, stand entirely dedicated to the customization artists; the Security Area will talk about the state of Infrastructures but the novelty of the 2014 edition is the Temporary Bikers Shop, created for those who wish to buy or sell their motorbikes.  Another new entry for this year is Eicma Bou<\/a>tique, with all the products that uphold the passion for the two-wheels.<\/span><\/span> <\/span>\u201cIt is a privilege and an emotion for me to inaugurate the new edition of the Motorcycle World Expo, which is celebrating its 100th anniversary,\u201d EICMA President, Antonello Montante, said. \u201cThe sector is an important part of Italian heritage. Our age-old history is today a testimonial to be handed down to the new generations, and passing the baton towards the future.\u201d As earlier said, for the first time, EICMA will also host The Green Planet. Sustainable mobility is finding an increasingly important niche also among motorcyclists: the public will be able to follow a real itinerary to visit all the \u201cgreen\u201d realities, thanks to the map on the official EICMA app.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

A leap into the past through the motorbikes that have been the dream of entire generations, recounting the innovations at every historic stage.
