The thirties. A golden era made of achievements and records, from continent to continent. Flying was the new frontier and pilots embodied the perfect attitude of this new generation of men destined to soon be confronted with the perils of WW2.<\/p>\n

However, it wasn\u2019t a time of reflections, those years were to be seized upon, or even nosedived through. And back to this unforgettable time-frame we can retrace the Longines Avigation Type A-7, an  asymmetric chronograph used  by pilots during their overseas crossings.<\/p>\n

Born in 1938, this Avigation model is today making a comeback, with its 49 mm diameter, its shifted-axis dial to make time reading easier,  its tachymeter scale and the signature crown.<\/p>\n

The watch now available for purchase in many boutiques is an identical copy of the original (except for the mechanism, now self-winding) and is unquestionably destined to become a cult-accessory.<\/p>\n
