Vinitaly 2015 focuses on business
With a strong focus on business, Vinitaly 2015, from 22 to 25 March in Verona, summoned up over 4,000 exhibitors, with professional visitors from 120 countries and trade delegations from 52 nations. The wine sector is a fundamental asset for theMade in Italy, considering that Italian wine farms are about 380.000, the 23% of the total agricultural holdings.
This edition of Vinitaly, besides business, focuses on meetings with delegations and trade missions, not to mention a calendar of b2b meetings, seminars and professional tastings capable of providing effective answers for defining business strategies in the wine-making sector. The first day sees the Gambero Rosso’s wine guide Three Glasses, presenting a selection of their best wines tasting. Thanks to such incoming activity, operators have been selected from Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Hong Kong, China and USA, countries where Vinitaly International has in turn developed specific promotion initiatives.
The world’s greatest event dedicated to wine is also an occasion to discover Italians’ favorite wines. According to the survey, the best-selling wines are Chianti and Lambrusco, holding the first position for years. Third position goes to Vermentino, a white wine more and more appreciated. Last but not least, the timeless Prosecco, Nero d’Avola, Muller Thurgau and Traminer.
