Bugatti Chiron captivates Geneva Motor Show 2016

Bugatti Chiron did not disappoint the public expectations.  It was among the most super luxury new entries at Geneva Motor Show 2016 and promptly revealed all its splendor.   The new hypercar, from the French brand owned by VW, is an authentic jewel on four wheels.  Performances as in a Formula One model, with luxurious trimmings.  Its 1500-hp grants a twitch with no comparison: from 0–100 km/h (62 mph) in less than 2.5 seconds, 0–200 km/h (124 mph) in under 6.5 seconds . Bugatti claims a top speed of 420 km/h ( 261 mph )

Chiron is the worthy Veyron successor and an eye-catcher in every detail.  The car performs on an 8 litre W16 quad-turbocharged engine – 1500-hp of power at 2000 rpm – with a record torqueof1.600 Nm.  About 4,400 pounds heavy, the car, is 4,54 meters long, 2,03 large and 1,21 high.  It has a carbon-fiber chassis tub, with race car performances granted by both aerodynamic and the engine cooling system, withtwo lateral side ventsresulting in 60,000 liters of air get forced through the engine every minute.   Five drive modes and a four positions rear spoiler, which allows perfect aerodynamic holding.

Chiron design combines beauty and agility.  Compared to previous productions, the car has a strong, aggressive profile that underlines its supersport character. The newborn from Bugatti will have a limited production of 500 units, one-third of which have already been placed, possibly delivered in time for Autumn. The car is named after Monegasque racing driver Louis Chiron, who achieved its first victory driving a Bugatti Tipo 35 in 1926.  Stronger than ever, Bugatti supercars history seems to repeat itself.

Interiors comforts and details are top-notch.  The dashboard data adjusts to driver speed to offer maximum clarity and total personalization.  The temperature control panel is an integral part of the slim central console and features four different settings, in accord with drive speed: the Icon mode, the Performance mode, the Cruise mode and the Classic mode.  Last detail, the price: Chiron starts at $2.5 million.  Taxes and optional apparently not included.
