Jil Sander NAVY woman

Jil Sander NAVY woman for Spring/Summer 2016 collection distances herself from the classic feminine aesthetic canons, creating her personal style. Eclectic all over prints animate the collection, evoking Matisse’s “cut papers” and the abstract Hawaiian motifs. Multicolored skirts with jacquard prints have pixelated and striped patterns, inspired by the typical Italian sun beds. An alternating of slim and voluminous proportions renovate the looks. Hints of overlappings are present all over the collection. Wide skirts are combined with small tunics with ruffles.

Petticoats have still a fundamental role in Jil Sander NAVY universe, this season with geometric cuts and pointed edges, reminiscent of the typical men’s vests. Same fabrics and Tecno Light details for parkas, jackets and skirts, for a fresh practical style. The color palette is vivid and lively. Primary colors blend together giving the idea of movement. Intense and immediate colors. Fabrics like silk/cotton, techno taffeta, faille, silk nylon, techno-gabardine and denim meet the silhouettes’ large volumes and the color palette’s strong nuances.

Bracelets and earrings in plexi, shoppers and playful bags in a great variety of prints and colors are a real symbol of joy. The sportswear-inspired wedge is protagonist in the lace ups of the collection as well as in both high heel and flat sandals.
