A different flower for each occasion: this spring the fashion world smells like roses, lavender and jasmine. Declined in all possible ways and colours, flowers stole the show on the s/s 2014 runaways, finding their way to the catwalk in the most disparate styes and materials, which reconfirms ‘flower power’ as this season’s top trend. Trousers, shirts, dresses, skirts, shoes and accessories are pervaded by flowers of all dimensions featuring bright, summery colours.

Romantic:

Outfit: a long dress or a wide skirt combined with a light shirt .

Materials: light fabrics such as chiffon and silk, strictly hand-crafted.

Colours: white and pastel hues such as light blue, pink, green and yellow. Red and orange to add a touch of glamour.

Daring and sophisticated

Outfit: a daring and sophisticated look achieved with a blazer and shorts twin set,  or trousers and shirt, or for the audacious ones, a tailleur for man. 

Materials: taffeta, lurex or silk.

Colours and motifs: a game of contrasts such as neutral colours combined with flower prints on loud coloured pop backgrounds and viceversa.

Outfit: sensual pieces such as a summery frock, skirt or short paired up with matching swimming costumes.
