Fendi’s graphic abstraction
White opens and closes the runaway of the collection, which is a sequence of refined chromatic combinations. The color palette alternates white to brick red, sienna and black. The new geometric pattern of the looks is inspired by the Swiss artist Sophie Taeuber. The graphic abstraction print is also expressed in the fur coat’s marquery, on the Maison’s it-bags, revisited in a graphic patchwork key, or on the “high fashion” boots, meant to become a cult. Linear, structural and clean silhouettes, showcasing austere shift dresses and geometric and rigid bibs. The clean angles and sharp lines give their way to a series of soft and voluminous duvets and cabans combined with modern and contemporary bustier dresses. Or to the fluffy outwear in shearling and fur. The furry and hairy textures are treated as a delicate embroidery thread, with Fendi’s incomparable mastery and art. A fur couture that draws from the Maisons ’past but looks at the future, with an avant-garde, extra luxury spirit and no sense of nostalgia.
