The Daily Beauty. Italian Design in Monza
For the whole 2015, a selection of the best pieces from the Permanent Collection of Italian Design are exhibited in the spaces of the Belvedere Royal Villa of Monza, to promote and enhance Italian design in the world and, at the same time, restore and strengthen the historical link between the Triennale and Monza.The Triennale Design Museum’s collection includes over one thousand pieces, plus the collection of Giovanni Sacchi’s models, the collection of Alessandro Mendini’s drawings, the collection of drawings Il Segno dei Designer, the Clino Castelli Colour Library, the Archivio Nanni Strada, the collection of Sirio Galli’s drawings, and the virtual collection of all of the seven Triennale Design Museum exhibitions. A selection of over 200 iconic pieces, evidence of the innovation, experiments and variety of the history of Italian design, will be on display in Monza.The Triennale Design Museum is not all about exhibition areas, it also means “vibrant” places, endlessly livened up by such activities as meetings, conferences, lectures with industry experts, designers, businessmen, critics, lecturers, economists.The Belvedere Royal Villa, Piermarini’s architectural jewel, will become a platform for the exchange of skills, involving a general public of amateurs as well as a specialist public of professional.
