BEYONCE AND GUCCI FOR GIRLS’ AND WOMEN’S EMPOWERMENT
Frida Giannini and Beyonce Knowles-Carter: two important names that together couldn’t possibly go unnoticed, especially when associated with a remarkable initiative such as CHIME FOR CHANGE, a global campaign in support of girls’ and women’s empowerment launched last year in London by queen Bey Bey herself.
The two CHIME FOR CHANGE co-founders have just finished celebrating at Gucci’s NY flagship store in Fifth Avenue the first anniversary of ‘The Sound of Change Live’, the first ever global event/concert to raise funds for girls and women. Last year the money raised though the event went to support projects focused on female instruction, health and justice – and the initiative is increasingly gaining consensus.
This year many celebrities again attended the event, many of whom have been supporting CHIME FOR CHANGE right from the start: from T Magazine directorDeborah Needleman to actors James Franco and Blake Lively, but also Beyonce’s little sister Solange Knowles.
