Fendi debuts at Paris Haute Couture

Fendi debuts at Fashion Week with Silver Moon, its first Haute Fourrure Collection, presenting incredible luxurious furs, the ultimate expression of the Maison’s highest creativity and craftsmanship in fur since 1925.  Fantasy birds, feathers, embroideries and, of course, fur. All mixed together in an unexpected and surprising way. Architectures. Geometries. Waves. The linear and sharp lines become waves for an outstanding geometrical and optical effect featured both in the furs and also in the heels of the ankle boots and thigh boots.A Roman spiraling column acts as another source of inspiration to reinforce the link with the Eternal City and with the origins of the Maison. The collection takes fur to the highest level, featuring breathtaking embroideries and the unique use of feathers.

To create the Haute Fourrure’s furs took from 200 to 600 hours of handwork by the finest craftsmen. The best of the Made in Italy meets with the best of Made in France giving life to an osmosis process of mutual and incredible artisanal enrichment. The tradition of Fendi’s most elaborate fur workmanships is sublimated by the most incredible handmade embroideries created in the Haute Couture ateliers in Paris as Lemarié and Hurel.  The luxury and elegant embroideries, also on the inner lining of the furs, make them totally reversible. Innovation and experimentation are the core of Fendi’s DNA. With an eye to tradition and another always projected into the future; the mink, sable, lynx and fox furs are redesigned and remodeled in a unique unprecedented way.

In occasion of the Haute Fourrure fashion show, the Rome-based iconic luxury brand shows a new type of technique, revolutionizing the world of furs. For the first time Fendi presents an innovative “metallic’ effect on furs, over which it has the exclusive, a special processing that gives fur a unique metallic/silver appearance, contemporary and luminous, keeping the softness intact.Savoir-faire and innovation are combined in inlaid furs with transparent PVC, which make them light and floating. Forms are voluminous and elongated, except for some short capes and furs with linear and clean forms, expressing the typical Fendi graphics and use of geometries. The color palette goes from white to black, grey, silver, dark brown with a romantic touch of pink.

On the catwalk appear the iconic Micro Peekaboo and Micro Baguette, realized in fur, feathers and enriched with precious hand-embroideries. A dream, a journey that starts from Earth to get to the moon…and back.
