Alberta Ferretti between modernity and tradition
An Italian inspired collection, that looks at and takes from its cultural heritage of arts, literature, natural beauties, philosophy of life and aesthetic supremacy. Alberta Ferretti Fall/Winter 2015-16 collection uses a modern language to talk about a past, Renaissance time, through images of the opulent Italian excellence, beating the time of modernity. White shirts in organza and chiffon with silk lacing or mohair inserts. Contrasts of materials like lurex patterned tweed, gobelins and brocade for mini dresses, coats and small jackets. Chiffon long dresses with tapestry motif or graphic mosaics patterns. The double fur coats are weightless just like the jackets, and the reversed sheepskin coats are meant to be thin and light. Dresses with hand burnout velvet embroideries or total white chiffon or completely transparent silk plumetis; airy and precious mohair patterned organza blouses, dresses, curled miniskirts and long, weightless coats.
