AZZARO’S COUTURE COMEBACK
At the next appointment with Paris haute couture – from July 6 to July 11, 2014 – the new AI 2014-2015 collection signed Loris Azzaro will hit the prestigious runaways after 30 years (up until now, all couture pieces were reserved to the brand’s most important customers).
Developed by spanish creative directors duo Arnaud Maillard and Alvaro Castejon, this new collection represents a true return to the brand’s origins.
Towards the end of the 60s, in occasion of the launch of Louis Azzaro’s first boutique in Paris, the young couturier of Italian heritage debuted his first prêt à porter andhaute couture collections. In the 80s, he then decided to focus exclusively on menswear and fragrance creation until 2002, when the brand – after being re-bought by Frey Group – reintroduced women collections.
Today, one year after Maillard and Castejon’s arrival and 30 years after his last couture collection, Azzaro pays homage to his past, his savoir-faire and his remarkable history with a collection that – according to the maison – can be defined as “a mix of Mediterranean sensuality and Parisian silhouette that preserves the brand’s historic heritage”.
Let’s wait and see.
