Albereta Relais & Chateaux, a dreamlike stay in Franciacorta
Today a charming luxury Spa hotel part of the Relais & Châteaux group, at the beginning of the 20th century Albereta was a large, private residence enchased on Bellavista hill. Located in Erbusco, Franciacorta province- Lombardy – this hotel, owned by the Moretti family, shows tasteful interiors and great views of Lake Iseo and surrounding hills dotted by tidy vineyards, medieval villages, towers and castles. The Holding Terra Moretti society is head of eleven companies which operates in the construction, nautical and wine industry sectors – with Bellavista and Contadi Castaldi wineries. On September 23rd, 1993, Albereta Relais & Chateaux opens the door with its first nine rooms.
The rooms are now 57, plus 9 Suites and 11 Junior Suites. Each room is a great combination of aesthetic and comfort, individually furnished to enhance the estate Renaissance atmosphere with a mix of period pieces and contemporary design, chosen by owner Carmen Moretti to ensure the highest hospitality standards: warm tones, soft lines, large windows and precious textiles to render a country style luxury experience the perfect retreat. Room 404 is undoubtedly the most romantic among the choices offered by L’Albereta, it offers an electric openable roof window which allows guests to see the ski, making each night unique.
The body rejoice in receiving the cares of the Espace Chenot, an area inspired by Henri Chenot, founder of Biontology and creator of a series of phytocosmetics and phytotherapy laboratories in the 70’s. Thanks to Carmen Moretti de Rosa and Ettore Mocchetti, director of AD Italia, the Spa combines traditional Chinese medicine principles with the most evolved western medicine technologies. Sauna, aromatherapy steam rooms with specialized therapists and fitness area with Technogym equipment are only the first steps in a wellness path that goes to famous hydrotherapy treatments. At L’Albereta SPA more than thirty professionals between doctors, therapists, dietists, osteopaths are working tirelessly to achieve the client’s goals with personalized programs inside and outside the structure, where guests can enjoy the “Bellavista” vineyards.
Carmen Moretti signature also for the LeoneFelice restaurant, in the hands of master chef Gualtiero Marchesi for the past 20 years and now achieving a new experience in taste with chef Fabio Abbattista. The philosophy behind each dish creation is both “vertical”- exploring the past tradition for territorial seasonal products- and “horizontal ”in expanding the view to other countries typical ingredients. Balance is above all, in this game between tradition and innovation. The new executive chef Fabio Abbattista also curates the hotel’s Vistalago bistrò and Wellness restaurant, living proof that health and pleasure are not mutually exclusive, for which L’Albereta fully deserves his Relais & Chateaux crown.
